Sumo, often regarded as Japan's national sport, has a rich history that has given rise to traditional cultural expressions, including sumo-themed ukiyo-e art. In celebration of the 100th anniversary of NIHON SUMOKYOKAI (Japan Sumo Association), this collection features motifs of sumo-inspired art by renowned artists including Katsushika Hokusai and Utagawa Hiroshige, as well as historical banzuke (sumo ranking charts).
